Holleran, an organization that researches community engagement and satisfaction within senior living communities, has chosen Cedar Views, a Redeemer Health Life Care community, as one of its 2021 Choice Community Award recipients. Cedar Views is only one of 21 communities to receive this esteemed award out of 1,000 communities considered across the nation.
“Cedar Views has an involved Resident Council that supports and addresses issues and concerns as a team, and we are honored to be recognized for our efforts to engage and empower our residents,” says Lucia Thrasher, Manager of Residential Services.
Award recipients were evaluated against a benchmark comprised of more than 252,000 resident and employee surveys completed over the last three years. The surveys solicited feedback on a wide variety of factors including how successfully a community creates an environment of respect toward residents, facilitates strong social connections, inspires residents to maintain a sense of purpose, and provides comprehensive access to health and wellness resources.
“For a community to earn the ‘Choice Community Award,’ it must be a cut above,” says Michele Holleran, CEO and founder of Holleran. “To become a Choice Community recipient is to earn a distinction that is truly meaningful. It means that the campus is a place where engagement and satisfaction is deeply felt; a place where residents are successfully aging and where employees are passionate,” she adds.
Cedar Views, a member of the Redeemer Health family, offers independent living apartments for adults age 62 and older within the Villages at Pine Valley, an active adult community. Residents have full access to an on-site clubhouse, fitness center, indoor pool, and library. Additionally, residents enjoy access to the vast resources and expertise of Redeemer Health.
